Get your CSP-SM in High Gear with
Racing School Scrum Master Program
This special program from SparkPlug Agility allows Scrum Masters to take their game to the next level with the new Certified Scrum Professional - Scrum Master (CSP-SM) certification from Scrum Alliance. Designed to build upon one another, our Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), and CSP-SM combine to create a comprehensive and integrated learning experience that will demonstrate immediate benefit to your teams and organizations!
Why is it called Racing School?
If you use a car to get around, you may remember what it was like to get your driver's license. You may have even sought out supplemental courses like a defensive driving class. Some drivers looking to take their performance to a higher level might enroll in advanced, hands-on courses in track days with instructors who not only can reinforce the fundamentals of driving, but show their students how to get the most out of their vehicle and really go fast.
The Path to CSP is an exciting set of Scrum Alliance offerings released in 2017. They are structured to give agile professionals a journey they can follow to start, expand, and excel in their professional development.
Our "Racing School" program takes the same approach for professionals looking to get their career in high gear. Participants in our Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course learn the basics and fundamentals of Scrum in a hands on fashion, similar to learning the rules of the road. Our Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) course builds on this experience and arms students with a set of tools and techniques to expand on their base of knowledge. Finally, our Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) learning experience helps to supercharge their Scrum Master skillset to navigate the dangers of the “tough roads” with practical, applicable, and inspiring activities to get across the Path to CSP finish line!
Our Scrum Master-focused learning experiences are special to the SparkPlug Agility team. Coming from a delivery background, we have a sincere appreciation for team leaders and those on the front lines of supporting agility in their organizations every day. Other trainers may tell you the mechanics, SparkPlug Agility is here to make you a great Scrum Master.... a really great one!
I already have my A-CSM. Can I still sign up?
Absolutely! While the courses are progressive, we welcome anyone who received their CSM or A-CSM somewhere else to get their CSP-SM with us. The pre-class learning and topic reviews in class will get you up to speed and ready to kick learning into high gear! You can register for each course separately through the course links above.
Paying for multiple classes is a huge commitment. Are payment plans available?
Of course! We understand that training is a big investment. We are happy to work with you on a payment plan, and have many discount structures available. Contact us at email@example.com to discuss your options.
I don’t yet have my CSM certification. Can I still sign up for Racing School?
An active CSM certification is required for Scrum Alliance to approve your A-CSM and CSP-SM certifications. While you may register for Racing School courses prior to receiving your CSM, you will need to complete your CSM prior to taking the advanced courses. We regularly offer these courses through our training partners, and invite you to join us for the full Scrum Master training experience.
Do I have to take A-CSM and CSP-SM at the same time, in the same city?
No! You may sign up for any A-CSM couse, and any subsequent CSP-SM course. They can be in the same city five days in a row, in different locations, or even months apart, whatever works for your schedule! For a full list of dates and enrollment or transfer policies, visit http://www.sparkplugagility.com.
How soon after CSP-SM class can I receive my certification?
Our CSP-SM learning experience contains a set of post-class assignments that are required to complete your certification. These activities are focused on leveraging the tools and techniques you have learned within your own environment. After approval of your coursework and Scrum Alliance review of your role-specific experience, you will be eligible to receive your CSP-SM! Scrum Alliance requires 24 months of Scrum Master experience in the past five years to complete certification.
